Alichia has a career in the dance industry spanning 30 years. She ran a dance school in Hong Kong for 5 years prior to opening her own school here in Brisbane in 2011; where she teaches all styles of dance to a diverse demographic aged between 3 and 80 years. Additionally, Alichia teaches in a number of Special Schools throughout Brisbane. She is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of her students through the art of dance.
Although Alichia teaches a wide variety of styles, her areas of expertise are tap, jazz and ballet. She strives to ensure all her students regardless of their level of ability leave class feeling happy and fulfilled.
Alichia says joining the Here’s to Life Faculty has brought her both joy and new and exciting opportunities to explore within the dance world.
Amy found her love for line dancing several years ago now; and enjoyed it so much she decided to become an instructor. She has been conducting classes in various suburbs of Brisbane for the last 12 months (2026). Amy loves the feeling of moving her body in a way that is fun and low pressure; and is passionate about giving that same feeling to others.
When Amy is not teaching, she loves dancing for enjoyment, reading, gardening and spending time with her partner and her friends.
As a Pilates Practitioner, Ange holds an Advanced Diploma of Professional Pilates. She is an Advanced Buff Bones® Instructor, has completed Level 2 training with Scolio Pilates Australia, is a fully qualified GGS Menopause Coach, and has also completed specific menopause programming with The Centre for Women’s Fitness.
She is passionate about helping her clients achieve the best version of themselves through exercise and is an absolute advocate of the old adage ‘move it or lose it’.
Ange has been an instructor with Here’s to Life since 2015, and a participating member for many more years prior to that. Her experience performing on stage, with costuming, choreography, and her exceptional organisational skills make her the perfect fit to assist both the Manager and Committee with Here’s to Life performances. She was invited and agreed to fill the role of the H2L Performance Coordinator in 2025.
Ange’s vivacious yet caring personality shines through in everything she does in life; but particularly at Here’s to Life.
Joelle has been involved in dance for most of her life, having started ballet at the age of 3. After completion of high school in Canada, Joelle attended an academy for Dance Teachers and then attained a science degree in Kinesiology. She has had the opportunity to teach dance in Canada, Singapore and Australia.
After moving to Australia, Joelle decided to extend her teaching sphere into Pilates Matwork, GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® and Pilates for Bone Health®. These disciplines have enabled her to deepen her knowledge of human movement. Joelle has a special interest in working with osteoporosis and scoliosis and thoroughly enjoys teaching children and adults.
Morgan Cox is a highly skilled musician and support worker with over 17 years of experience playing drums and percussion. Alongside an extensive musical background, Morgan brings 4 years of combined experience as a support worker and personal carer across disability and aged-care settings.
Morgan is deeply passionate about making music accessible to people of all abilities; and is committed to supporting individuals explore, develop, and achieve their musical goals. With a strong belief that everyone can make music when given the right guidance, encouragement, and support: Morgan creates inclusive, empowering, and engaging musical experiences for all participants.
Renee’s great love of dancing starting at just 4 years of age. She is trained in: Jazz – CSTD and AMSD syllabus; Tap – CSTD syllabus; Ballet – RAD syllabus; Acrobatics – AMSD syllabus; Theatrical – CSTD syllabus; and Hip Hop.
Her 33-year career started with both state and national eisteddfod and dance competitions where she was able to hone not only her performance skills but also move towards choreographic work. Her impressive resume includes choreography for: music video clips, music concerts, television, cheerleading teams, international stage shows, musical theatre, and theme parks both within Australia and overseas. Renee is also an accomplished adjudicator within the dance industry.
Renee joined the Here’s to Life Faculty as a dance instructor and assistant choreographer in 2021; then took over the Manager’s and Choreographer’s roles in 2022. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with her students and enjoys nothing more than the challenge of finding the performer hidden within everyone. Renee not only brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Here’s to Life but also joy, enthusiasm, and encouragement for every participant in every class. Her bubbly personality is infectious and all of the members at Here’s to Life avidly look forward to the new ideas, direction and challenges that she has set for the organisation.
Sally worked as an High School Visual Arts teacher for 24 years. She feels that her long career gave her the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in what she states ‘seems to be a never-ending variety of art and craft forms’. She has recently completed a Diploma in Creative Arts and Health and is determined to encourage joy and wellbeing through creative expression.
Sally loves coaching others in: painting; collage; fibre arts’ sculpture; papercraft; printmaking; needlecraft; and jewellery making. She is always keen to inspire people to take up a crafty hobby.
Being absolutely passionate about the contribution that all areas of The Arts can make to people’s lives, Sally happily says ‘Art is my life.’
Warryn came to Here’s to Life with 30 years of music teaching experience at primary and secondary levels. During this time, he musically directed a dozen high school musicals and ran successful choral programs. He also worked professionally as a piano vocalist, and was resident pianist at the Brisbane Hilton for 18 years.
Warryn has been actively involved in community theatre for 20 years, as a performer, musical director and orchestra member. His lead roles with Savoyards Musical Theatre productions include Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserable, Oliver, Beauty and the Beast and the 2025 production of Hello Dolly
2026 is Warryn’s 5th year as the Here’s to Life singing instructor.
