Maestro Group traces its origins back to 2006, when MJ Kusuma founded Metrotech, a telecommunications company in Indonesia. In 2009, the group expanded through the merger with Selular Group, which grew into one of Indonesia’s leading telecommunications companies with more than 3000 employees.
Selular’s proprietary mobile device brand Nexian became a market leader in Indonesia, outperforming global competitors and establishing a strong presence in the telecommunications market.
In 2011, Selular Group was successfully acquired by a publicly listed company in Singapore, marking a significant milestone and demonstrating a proven track record of business growth and successful exit.
In 2012, the business expanded into Australia with the establishment of Maestro Australia in Sydney as a family office focused on investment and advisory services.
