Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) — Planning for Incapacity

An Enduring Power of Attorney is a legal document that appoints a trusted person — or persons — to manage your financial and personal affairs if you lose mental capacity. Without one, your family may face a lengthy, expensive, and emotionally draining court process simply to gain access to your bank accounts and manage your affairs. The EPA must be established while you have full capacity — it cannot be put in place afterwards. PPFS works with clients and their solicitors to ensure that an EPA is in place alongside their will, and that the financial arrangements it covers are clearly documented and up to date.
