The Sacred Music Institute of the Southwest (SMISW) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and
strengthening the tradition of sacred music in worship. Your support helps us continue offering concerts,
outreach programs, and educational opportunities that inspire communities across the Southwest.
Sacred music is more than a performance. It is a powerful part of worship and spiritual life. As we grow this mission, financial support is essential to help us bring sacred music to churches, musicians, and congregations.
Your donation helps fund sacred music concerts and festivals, outreach programs across Texas and the Southwest, educational workshops and training, and formation opportunities for church musicians and leaders.
Many supporters know Dr. Rick Lopez as the former conductor of the Archdiocesan Choir of Galveston-Houston. Over the years, individuals supported the choir’s concerts and programs. Now, through SMISW, Dr. Lopez and the Coro Gloria Dei Choir are continuing that tradition by expanding sacred music outreach as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
