About PMI-ACP(\u00ae Exam Requirements & Exam Costs – increase your knowledge, and skills across multiple frameworks and methodologies increasing team efficiency, delivering greater value.<\/span>

<\/span>Exam eligibility requirements includes having a minimum of 28 hours* of formal learning based on agile approaches, tools and techniques included in the ECO.<\/span>

<\/span>PMI-ACP\u00ae Exam Requirement:<\/span>

<\/span>Education:<\/b>\u00a0Secondary diploma, GED, associate’s degree or global equivalent.<\/span>

<\/span>Training:<\/b>\u00a028 hours of training in agile practices Experience: 2 years of agile project experience within the last 5 years<\/span>
<\/span>Or 1-year holding a current third-party certification\u2014i.e. CSPO, CSM, SAFe plus 1 year of agile experience – must be current for more than a year.<\/span>
<\/span>Or 1 year agile experience and degree from Global Accreditation Center (GAC) program.<\/span><\/p>

<\/span>PMI-ACP Examination:<\/b>\u00a0The certification exam has 120 questions; and you have 3 hours to complete it.<\/span>

<\/span>Maintenance:<\/b>\u00a0To maintain your PMI-ACP, you must earn 30 professional development units (PDUs) in agile topics every three years.<\/span>

What is PMI-ACP\u00ae Certification Versus Scrum Master?<\/b>\u00a0(Updated 11-22-2020)<\/span>

<\/span>PMI-ACP(R) Certification stands for PMI Agile Certified Practitioner(R). It is above Scrum Master as a Scrum Master is just an Agile PM. The Agile Certified Practitioner thoroughly understands all industry best practices for agile, all accepted methodologies besides Scrum, and all roles, such as Developer, Agile PM or Product Owner. Besides, it is a certification of the PMI organization and has the same elevated standing of the PMP(R) Certification, PMI-PBA Certification, PgMP Certification and so forth.<\/span>

<\/span>What if I don’t have any\u00a0<\/b>Agile Experience<\/b><\/a>\u00a0but I have project management experience?<\/b>
<\/span>
<\/span>You need the qualifying experience to take the PMI-ACP(R) exam\u00a0<\/span>in order to take the\u00a0<\/span><\/a>and exam, then do that first as about 50% of the course curriculum is about Agile and Agile\/Hybrid, although the PMP(R) does not get into all the methodologies of Agile.<\/span>
