The Spoodle (also known as the Cockapoo) is one of Australia’s most popular dog breeds. Known for
their affectionate nature and charming personality, Spoodles make ideal family pets.
At Valley View, our Spoodles feature beautiful, soft fleece coats, specializing in striking chocolate shades.
Their average lifespan ranges from 12 to 16 years, with many of our dogs living well beyond that.
We are proud to be Australia’s first breeders of multi-generational, nonshedding chocolate Spoodles carefully combining the best traits of the Poodle and the Cocker Spaniel (both English and American lines).
We do not use Springer Spaniels in our program, as their high-energy nature doesn’t align with the calm, family-friendly temperament we aim to produce.
Not all Spoodles are non-shedding. To ensure a true non-shedding coat, a Spoodle should be at least third or fourth generation. First or second generation Spoodles often still shed due to their Cocker Spaniel lineage.
We specialise in the rare chocolate and chocolate parti (white with chocolate patches) Spoodles.
We also offer:
Other common Spoodle colours include golden, apricot, and black.
Spoodles are known for their loyal, affectionate, and playful nature. They’re gentle with children, social with other pets, and adaptable to almost any lifestyle from a busy family home to a quiet country retreat.
Their intelligence and eagerness to please make them easy to train and a joy to live with.
Spoodles come in three main sizes. At Valley View, we primarily breed miniature and medium Spoodles, as they’re perfectly suited to modern family living.
